Info for Schools
The Doodle 4 Google 'I wish...' competition is open to all students attending primary or
secondary school in the Republic of Ireland. Doodles will be judged in the following five
groups:
- Junior Infants, Senior Infants
- 1st, 2nd Class
- 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th Class
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd Year
- TYO, 5th, 6th Year, Youthreach
Title and supporting statement
In addition to producing a doodle, pupils also need to write:
- A title for their doodle
- A supporting statement – no more than 50 words. Pupils should explain what the theme 'I
wish...' means to them, and how they have portrayed it in their doodle
Submitting entries
- There is a limit of six entries per school. You could perhaps hold an internal
competition to select the best doodles in the class or school
- When you are ready to submit your entries, complete the online entry form which opens
on October 28th 2011. You will need to include the pupils’ titles and supporting statements
for each entry
- Attach an entry form with the school and individual student’s information to each
doodle
- Each child's name should be indicated in the back of their doodle
- Then post your school’s entries to the address below by December 9th 2011:

- We can only accept submissions by post, so please do not email them
Design guidelines
- The doodle should be presented on a white, landscape sheet of A4 paper
- You can download the Google logo template from our Lesson Resources page here
- As the winning doodle will be displayed on the Google homepage, please ensure that the
Google logo is clearly visible and recognisable
- The doodle can be in pencil, crayons, felt tip, paint, or can be created using computer
drawing or design software
- Unfortunately we cannot accept 3D entries
