Several GAA personalities have taken to Twitter this morning to pay tribute to long-serving Cork football star Noel O'Leary, who has announced his retirement from inter-county football.
O'Leary's Cork team-mates Daniel Goulding, Aidan Walsh and Eoin Cadogan are among those to have wished him well on his retirement. So far, there has been no message from his old nemesis Paul Galvin who, as Twitter followers will know, is one of the most prolific tweeters around.
O'Leary's retirement comes three years after Galvin famously sent the Cill na Martra clubman a text in which he jokingly asked him to hang up his boots after he finally got his hands on an All-Ireland senior medal after many years of trying.
