Dublin - Cheers,Beers and a whole lot of Craic at Temple Bar

Outside Temple Bar in Dublin, Ireland.

Dublin is overflowing with amazing spots to have a beer, but the most iconic is sitting in front of the love musicians in Temple Bar.  If you are lucky, the musicians are ones that find it fun to bring the crowd into it - showing the tourists how to really drink a Guinness (you need to take a mouthful - not “lick the rim”), or in advising that there are stairs to help you access their tip jar!

Fingers dance across a fiddle making it sing with local tunes and even a little bit of Abba mixed in.  There is a dance floor - but it only takes one person at a time, and after you dance, you have to leave, make a round and then come back for seconds.  The Guinness inside the iconic doors of the red pub are always ice cold, poured to perfection and ready to be devoured by the crowds that flock to the live music that escapes the confines of the main room and those there to enjoy it.

Be ready to wait for an open space, and when you do find an empty stool, it may be at a community table where you will have the chance to interact with locals and visitors alike.  Grab your phone, get ready to video your favourite songs and when you don’t have your phone in your hand - then you better be clapping along to the amazing music that entertains and joins everyone on a journey into the heart of the Irish spirit.  Probably the second choice is the better way to make this visit unique and remarkable.

A little bit of Guinness, a little Irish whiskey and a whole lot of craic!!!
