The iconic building that sits at the epic-centre of the Temple Bar district is a pub that bears the same name.  Temple Bar is a large venue that has grown into an institution that all travellers and tourists alike make pilgrimage to visit.  Live music fills the rooms at all hours of the day, Guinness is poured from dusk until dawn and hot coffee is combined with Irish whiskey to give the wonder of Irish Coffee to the masses.

The front entry is small and intimate and at Christmas, decorations and lights are hung from every wall and light fixture.  Two doors lead through to the room with a small stage in a corner, where local Irish musicians entertain the masses.  Bars line the walls and provide access to the famed Irish liquid at all times.  Other rooms provide more seating for patrons that want to eat and drink while sitting further from the live music, patios provide outdoor seating for those that want fresh air, and even more spaces are hidden further into the building.

Sitting with strangers is common and conversations with new friends are started around large whiskey barrels that serve as tables.  Bar stools are in short supply and the rooms are full of people enjoying the electric atmosphere that is pulsating through the bar and into the larger area.  While Temple Bar may be the most tourist known and frequented pub in the area and serves as a starting point for exploring Dublin's rich night life.  So get out, grab a pint and see what Temple Bar has to offer.
