This is a very hard match up to be put against but there are ways of winning. The keys to winning this matchup are: how fast you can get your first troll out and managing to keep a constant flow of units. Since patch 1.03 has been released Mordor has had difficulty defeating Gondor. This is because orcs are weak and can't harass very well. The main use for Orcs in this game is to defend lumber mills.
In order to get a fast troll cage up the two initial lumber mills need to survive early game, otherwise the income flow becomes weak. Another problem for Mordor is that it's very weak in early game, but if it can manage to hold out, get in middle game, and then to late game then Mordor should be able to win.
Mordor is the best army for leadership; it has the Eye of Sauron, Tainted Land, Drummer, Darkness and Witch-King. Mordor cannot expect to get through a game on only units. The other armies have upgrades while Mordor has to utilise its leadership instead. Eagles are the greatest threat to Mordor because the only unit Mordor has to stop them is orc archers, which aren't exactly the strongest of all units.
