Attach Trim

For some doilies, simply hot-glue gold trim in a circular pattern or along the edges (Image 1). For others, use a glue gun to attach trim in interesting patterns (Image 2). Get creative, and play up the intricate design of each doily.

Choose Layout

Once you have completed several doilies, group them together into an eye-pleasing "run." Start by placing the larger doilies in the center, then fan out to include the smaller ones (Image 1). Once you have the layout you like, pin them together to hold them in position (Image 2).

Sew Into Place

Once your layout is finalized, attach the doilies to one another by using a simple sewing stitch. You can use hot glue to fuse them together, but we recommend sewing for better durability. Just a few strong stitches between each doily should be sufficient to hold your runner’s design in place for years to come.
