RTE are hoping to boost their viewers this autumn by signing Georgia Salpa for a new show.

The model who appears on countless covers of FHM this month across the globe, is flying back from talks in the US with agents this week, and is said to be interested in developing her acting talents, following successful stints on ‘The Republic of Telly’ last year.

The exact details of the new show are being kept confidential by RTE, but a source tells the Irish Daily Star today that the model has confirmed one episode and it is hoped that she will sign up for more.

The TV insider said: “Georgia has a new show coming up on RTE.

“She impressed the team behind the Republic of Telly with her natural acting abilities and is a huge draw with viewers,” they said.

She appeared regularly on the satirical show last year as comedian Bernard O’Shea’s love interest and had a long running in show rivalry with Jennifer Maguire.

The model is eager to branch out and has recently launched her own range of false eyelashes. She has also appeared on ‘Celebrity Salon’ on TV3 and launched her career in the UK on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.

The 27-year-old was said to be in talks in the States to launch own Kardashian style reality show, which RTE may want to become involved in.

“There’s been lots of talk between US producers and her agents in Ireland and the UK. She could definitely come away with her own show”, the source said.
