About The Artwork
Admiring Carel Fabritius' GOLDFINCH, I painted a series of Birds in the style of the old 17th century Dutch Masters. But before I started this project I made a (almost perfect) copy of the famous original from the Mauritshuis in The Hague. I used Old Holland oil paint on linen.
