'The Mezz' is a new street food concept made in partnership with the SSP Group - a leading operator of food and beverage outlets.

The new concept will introduce six new food and beverage options, said to blend Irish flavours with innovative brands developed by SSP.

The new venture comes as Dublin Airport attempts to enhance the passengers experience.

The new options will cater to all preferences.

Camile Thai will be one of the new additions, offering passengers 'Good Mood Thai Food' made from local fresh ingredients, with a focus on sustainability.

Options available on the menu in Camile Thai include Mango Rainbow and Berry Rainbow granola bowls, Thai Fry breakfast and signiature dishes including the 'Camile Signature Spice Bag' and 'Crispy Chilli Chicken'.

Another new addition is Handsome Burger, hailing from Galway and coming with the title of 'Ireland's best burger'.

Passengers will be able to enjoy options such as the classic Handsome Burger, with a hand-rolled beef patty, sticky onions, pickled cucumbers and rocket on a Coughlan bun served with rosemary and sea salt fries.

For breakfast, passengers can enjoy a smashed hash brown, cheese and egg muffin.

Another new option is Erin's Kitchen, exclusively developed by SSP for the airport.

Here, passengers can indulge in classic homemade comfort food inspired by beloved Irish recipes.

These include a slow-cooked pulled ham hock with creamy mash and shredded cabbage, served alongside roasted root vegetables and gravy.

For breakfast, guests can try a classic Irish breakfast complete with black pudding, white pudding, potato and farl.

If you're in the mood for Mexican cuisine, the airport will now have Ancho Ancho, drawing inspiration from the vibrant Mexican street market.

This restaurant will offer a variety of Mexican-inspired dishes including breakfast burritos, savoury Mexican rice bowls with pinto beans, pico de Gallo and guacamole.

The meals can be personalised with a choice of pulled beef, chicken or roasted vegetables.

SPECIALTY COFFEE

There is also a new bar addition, boasting a range of international favourites alongside locally brewed beverages.

There is also speciality coffee options from Irish coffee roasters Badger & Dodo, with ingredients sourced from a curated collection of over 85 coffees.

The Mezz will integrate cutting-edge digital technology in an effort to enhance the overall customer experience.

A 31-meter digital banner, developed in collaboration with Triton, stands as the focal point in the terminal displaying menu options from each brand.

New digital kiosks will allow customers to conveniently place orders from all the brands in one process.

CEO of DAA, (Dublin Airports operator), Kenny Jacobs said: "The new food offerings in The Mezz are already receiving exceptional feedback from the 100,000+ passengers that fly in and out of Dublin Airport every day.

"As an exciting addition to Terminal 2, we have launched 'The Mezz' in close partnership with SSP, based on invaluable feedback from our passengers.

"These six extraordinary additions provide our passengers with an unparalleled array of choices, offering menus packed with tantalizing food and drink options.

"The opening of 'The Mezz' exemplifies our 'Better Dublin' improvement plan, which continually raises standards for passengers, including the food and beverage offerings in both terminals.

"We are delighted to collaborate with SSP to bring 'The Mezz' to fruition, and passengers can eagerly anticipate even more exciting changes and enhancements coming soon."

Also speaking about the new venture was the CEO of SSP UK and Ireland, Kari Daniels, who said: "At SSP, we take great pride in delivering the best of Dublin to travellers passing through the international travel hub that is Dublin Airport.

"'The Mezz' epitomises this commitment, offering a truly authentic F&B experience with a diverse range of local flavours and innovative brand favourites.

"Our digital solutions at 'The Mezz' allow guests to access a variety of excellent F&B offerings conveniently in one place, catering to families and groups traveling together, ensuring there is something for everyone, no matter their preference."

The Mezz is part of Dublin Airports 15-point improvement plan, aiming to elevate standards for passengers in both terminals.

The plan also includes additional seating at departure gates, a doubling of average free wifi speeds across the airport and enhanced security measures to ensure that at least 90 per cent of passengers pass through security in under 20 minutes.

'The Mezz' is located upstairs in the airside departures area of Terminal 2, offering views of the wider terminal and airfield.
