Midleton petrol station and car dealership comes to market for €1.9m

Private investors are eyeing up a €1.9m new-to-market Midleton property which includes a petrol filling station, convenience store, and car dealership, on a high-profile site, just off the N25 Cork to Waterford Road.

The filling station comprises a canopied forecourt, convenience store, and car wash and is leased to Valero Energy (Ireland) Ltd on a 20-year lease from July 1, 2009. The rent is €82,500pa.

The motor dealership which comprises a car showroom, workshop, parts & office building, and vehicle display yard is leased to Keary Motors Ltd on a two-year lease from July 1, 2023 at a rent of €73,000 pa. Tenants are not affected by the sale.

On a c 0.85a (0.34ha) site with dual frontage along the Cork Road and the Northern Relief Road, joint selling agents Johnny McKenna of Lisney and Tom O’Driscoll of Thomas J O’Driscoll described it as “a prime investment opportunity”.

Mr McKenna said although new to market, they’ve had “good enquiries so far, from lots of private investors”.

Neighbouring occupiers include Kia Motors, Abernethys Ford, Knockgriffin Industrial Park, O’Briens Mazda, Europa Enterprise Park, Midleton Veterinary Hospital & Keary’s Renault. Midleton with a population of c 14,000, is a growing satellite town and the largest town in East Cork.
