Gardai are investigating after two men attempted to lure four children into a car in Swords.
Locals have been warning parents on Facebook after the shocking incident that happened on Tuesday morning in the Applewood area.
Shortly after 11am the men approached the four kids outside a playground and asked them to get in.
The car was believed to be a silver hatchback and the men appeared to be Irish.
A local said: "They asked the children where their dad was and said 'get in the car and we'll go find your Dad'."
Gardai confirmed to Dublin Live they are investigating the incident.
A garda spokesperson said: "Garda are investigating a reported suspicious approach to a group of 4 youths in the Applewood area of Swords.
"This reportedly occurred on Tuesday at approximately 11:30am. No offence was disclosed."
