Manchester United have parted company with their under-23 coach, Ricky Sbragia, ahead of a major summer overhaul of the club’s academy.

Nicky Butt, the current head of youth coaching, is set to conduct a review of the club's operations at academy level in order to keep pace with their rivals at the top of the Premier League.

Sbragia returned to the club in 2017 after a spell away managing Sunderland and working with the Scottish national youth teams.

Warren Joyce, another former reserve team coach of United, is available after leaving A-League side Melbourne City and has been linked with a return to the club.
