Triple gold for Ireland at Para-Athletics Europeans

Orla Barry, Jason Smyth and Greta Streimikyte delivered three golds for Ireland on a stunning second day of action at the World Para-Athletics European Championships in Berlin.

Smyth smashed the championship record as he scorched to victory in the the men's 200m T13 final in 21.44.

Streimikyte had earlier triumphed in the 1500m. The Lithuanian-born runner, who moved to Ireland in her teens, was very impressive in the T13 visually impaired final.

And Rio silver-medallist Barry wrapped up an incredible day in the T57 discus, producing six superb throws which were all good enough to have won the gold.

Barry's longest throw was 28.76 metres - over eight metres further than Martina Willing, who took the silver.

Paul Keogan just missed out on the podium in a dramatic men's 400m T37 decider.

The Meath man looked like he'd hold on for third after France's Valentin Bertrand fell on the home straight, but another Frenchman - Renaud Clerc - edged him on the line.
