Kinahan mobster’s son Lee Byrne rubs shoulders with Z-listers and sings Sweet Caroline on boozy day at Royal Ascot

THE son of Kinahan cartel boss Liam Byrne rubbed shoulders with Z-listers and sang Sweet Caroline with pals on a boozy day out at the Royal Ascot.

Lee Byrne flashed the cash at one of the main events of the UK racing calendar on June 18 — eight days before his mobster dad’s €1million house was seized by the Criminal Assets Bureau in Dublin.

Lee, 19, went boozing for the day with minted Instagram star Henry Simmons.

Simmons — who once drove a €295,000 Lamborghini Aventador supercar — is the son of a property developer and appears on UK reality series Absolutely Ascot.

They were also joined at the English racecourse by Kinahan cartel associate Nathan Little.

He enjoyed his day out less than a month after his distant drug dealer relative Sean Little was shot dead and dumped beside a burning car off the M1 in Dublin.

A video was also posted on social media showing Lee and his pals singing Sweet Caroline among the joyous crowd.

Lee — nephew of slain Regency gangster David Byrne — has forged a friendship with Simmons, both of whom enjoy the VIP treatment.

'THE FINER THINGS'

A source said: “Lee enjoys the partying and all the finer things in life. He’s always dressed in top of the range designer gear, expensive jewellery and drives a flash car.

“He, like many of his friends, also loves the big holidays. He is pals with plenty of young men who are strongly linked to the drugs trade in Dublin.

“Over in the UK, he tends to spend a lot of time with wealthy youngsters and sees himself as fitting into those circles.”

Both men previously enjoyed a weekend together in December, where they mixed with Liverpool players and Lee was snapped posing up with Kop star Alexander Arnold.

Lee’s dad’s home — 2 Raleigh Square in Crumlin, Dublin — was boarded up last Wednesday as CAB moved in.

The property, which underwent a €750,000 revamp, was Liam Byrne’s home since 2011.

The High Court ruled in March it was to be forfeited to CAB because it had been renovated “through the proceeds of crime”.

It has been lying empty since 2016 after Liam — who remains a key target for the rival Hutch gang — fled to Birmingham. Neither Lee Byrne nor Simmons have any involvement in crime.
