Jedward says American Song Contest ‘needs Jedward hosting’ and they plan on ‘writing winning song’
IRISH pop duo Jedward have said that the American Song Contest "needs Jedward hosting" and they plan on "writing the winning song".
It was announced today that organisers of the Eurovision Song Contest will be producing a brand new contest but for America called the American Song Contest.
Following this exciting announcement John and Edward Grimes, who make up the iconic duo Jedward, took to their Twitter to say they would love to host the event.
The pair represented Ireland for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 and they said that they were going to write "the winning song".
The full tweet from the pair said: "Wow Eurovision USA is happening in 2021!!

Fans of the pair were loving this tweet as they flooded their replies with encouraging messages as they said they would love that.
Therese tweeted saying: "Omg that is so cool! All song contests needs Jedward."

This comes after Jedward recently praised people who are "staying home and not flexing on a beach in Ibiza" as they slammed "so-called social influencers".
The X-Factor stars took to their Twitter page to share their disappointment at people who are jetting off to Ibiza.
