A 22-year-old barmaid found murdered in a park after failing to turn up to her friends' house for Christmas had been stabbed in the stomach.
Iuliana Tudos - also known as Juliana or Julie - died as died as a result of a "stab wound to the abdomen and a head injury", Scotland Yard confirmed.
The 22-year-old was last seen in Camden Road, London, at 8pm on Christmas Eve after an evening out.
She told friends she was catching a bus to her home in Finsbury Park, North London, and would see them later on in Enfield.
But the 22-year-old, a barmaid at The World's End pub, Camden, never turned up. She also missed her shift at work on Boxing Day, further fuelling fears for her safety.
On December 27, a member of the public discovered Miss Tudos' body in an outbuilding next to a sports pitch in Finsbury Park.
Officers have launched a murder probe into the 22-year-old's death.
Police believe she was attacked while walking through the park.
Juliana - who is also believed to have worked at The Underworld in Camden - was of Russian and Greek origin and from Moscow, according to her Facebook page where she also listed herself as being 'single'. She was 5ft 1in, slim and wore glasses.
She was last seen wearing a black and red Agnostic Front hooded top, light coloured jeans and black and white Vans shoes.
She was carrying a black and white fabric bag with "Fighting Against Animal Testing" written on it.
Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene in Finsbury Park where Iuliana was pronounced dead.
Her next of kin, who are currently abroad, have now been informed.
A post mortem examination was due to take place today and police have not yet made any arrests.
DCI Nicola Wall, from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, is leading the investigation.
She appealed to the public to come forward with any information that could help officers.
She said: "Iuliana's body was discovered in an outbuilding next to a sports pitch. We believe that she may have been attacked on December 24 - Christmas Eve - but we want to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in that part of Finsbury Park over the Christmas period.
"We are still trying to piece together a timeline of events and are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry as regards to a motive."
