Barmaid, 22, found brutally murdered in park after disappearing on Christmas Eve had been 'stabbed in stomach'

A 22-year-old barmaid found murdered in a park after failing to turn up to her friends' house for Christmas had been stabbed in the stomach.

Iuliana Tudos - also known as Juliana or Julie - died as died as a result of a "stab wound to the abdomen and a head injury", Scotland Yard confirmed.

The 22-year-old was last seen in Camden Road, London, at 8pm on Christmas Eve after an evening out.

She told friends she was catching a bus to her home in Finsbury Park, North London, and would see them later on in Enfield.

But the 22-year-old, a barmaid at The World's End pub, Camden, never turned up. She also missed her shift at work on Boxing Day, further fuelling fears for her safety.

On December 27, a member of the public discovered Miss Tudos' body in an outbuilding next to a sports pitch in Finsbury Park.

Officers have launched a murder probe into the 22-year-old's death.

Police believe she was attacked while walking through the park.
