Tottenham have agreed to sign Serge Aurier from Paris Saint-Germain for £23million and the full-back underwent a medical in Paris, according to L'Equipe.
But the deal for the Ivory Coast defender cannot go through until Aurier receives permission to work in the UK.
And Juventus are still interested in taking Aurier on loan if he cannot move to the Premier League.
The PSG star was refused a visa to enter the country for the Champions League tie against Arsenal last November because he has a conviction for assaulting a police officer.
His laywer's are working to find a solution but the uncertainty led to Chelsea and Manchester United ending interest in his signature.
Aurier is surplus to requirements after the summer arrival of Dani Alves in Paris and the Qatari-owned club are trying to offload players after the £199m signing of Neymar.
